06/24/2009 - Self-Injury Survey [edit: survey closed]

My name is Brandi Baumkirchner, M.A., and I am a doctoral student at The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. My dissertation research is on self-injury. In particular, this topic was chosen because self-injury is often misunderstood. As a consequence, the act of self-injury can be misperceived and viewed negatively by others. This can create shame and secrecy around the behavior. If you choose to participate in this research, please know that your responses and experiences will be honored and held with the utmost respect and sensitivity.

I am looking for volunteers to participate in an anonymous Internet survey, which consists of 4 questionnaires, and should take about 30 minutes to complete. The survey has been approved by The Wright Institute's Internal Review Board/Ethics Committee. If you would like to take the survey, or if you want more information, please go to [edited out, the survey is now closed]
